Siemens Gets Contract for Chemical Complex Power Plant in Tartarstan, an Industrial Info Market Brief

PJSC Kazanorgsintez, a part of TAIF Group, has awarded Siemens AG the general contract for the construction of a 250-megawatt, combined-cycle power plant that will provide electricity to a chemical complex in Tartarstan, Russia. Under the agreement, Siemens AG will carry out basic and detailed engineering, and supply an SGT5-2000E gas turbine and SST-600 steam turbine with generators for an existing chemical facility in Kazan. The project also will include an SPPA-T3000 control system and power distribution equipment.
