Phillips 66 will restart the 14,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Hydrofluoric Alkylation (HF alky) Unit at its 146,000-BBL/d refinery in Borger, Texas, this weekend, as issues continue with the 78,000-BBL/d Gas Oil Hydrodesulfurizer Unit 42. The latter unit also is expected to be restarted this weekend, after which the 41,000-BBL/d Crude 9, 37,000-BBL/d Crude 10, 68,000-BBL/d Crude 28 units and 30,000-BBL/d Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) 40 will fully restart.

Saudi Aramco continues with an unplanned shutdown of the 54,500-BBL/d Hydrocracker 2 at its 400,000-BBL/d Jazan Refinery in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the 54,500-BBL/d Hydrocracker 1 is derated by 30%, but tentative expectations are to restart both units by July 10.

Idemitsu Kosan Company has tentatively delayed the restart of the lone crude unit at its 190,000-BBL/d Chiba Refinery in Japan, to July 1, and a restart of the 17,000-BBL/d Reformer, 45,000-BBL/d Residual Fluid Catalytic Cracker (RFCC) Unit, and 40,000-BBL/d Residual Hydrotreater also has been delayed, to July 7. However, no final decision has been made. Industrial Info will continue to monitor the situation and update accordingly.

Rompetrol Rafinare SA has experienced a fire at its 105,000-BBL/d Petromidia Refinery in Romania. The fire broke out at the 33,000-BBL/d Mild Hydrocracker Unit, although the impact on other units is currently still unknown.
