Valero, on September 11, shut down the 57,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Hydrocracker/Hydrotreater Combo Unit at its 230,000-BBL/d Saint Charles Refinery in Louisiana, due to a leak. Plant personnel hope to have the unit back online by this coming weekend.
Phillips 66, on September 11, shut down the 30,000-BBL/d Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) 29 at its 146,000-BBL/d Borger Refinery in Texas, for a 44-day fall turnaround.

OQ8 delayed the commercial startup of the lone crude unit at its 230,000-BBL/d Duqm Refinery in Oman. The unit has been under trial runs since April 3, and its commercial startup now is tentatively expected by October 2. Additionally, OQ8 continues with the trial operations of the 74,000-BBL/d Hydrocracker unit and has rescheduled the commercial operations of the unit and other secondary units to November 15.
