Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Unit 2 at the coal-fired Hennepin Power Station, which is located in Hennepin, Illinois, underwent a forced outage Tuesday. The station is owned and operated by Dynegy Midwest Generation Incorporated, a subsidiary of Dynegy Incorporated (NYSE:DYN) (Houston, Texas).
Unit 2, which produces 200 megawatts (MW), was taken offline following the discovery of boiler tube leaks. It is expected to undergo minor maintenance. The unit will be returned to service over the weekend.
