Vietnam's Tung Lam Company, an ethanol producer using cassava as a primary feedstock, is preparing to test U.S. corn as a feedstock as part of the U.S. Grain Council's support to Vietnam increase ethanol usage under the E5 blend mandate. Prices of cassava have increased since 2018 due to a demand surge from Southeast Asia, leaving limited supply available.
