U.S. Crude Oil Stocks Rise, Fuels Go Down - U.S. crude oil inventories rose by 3.6 million barrels to 433.8 million barrels in the week ending February 28, data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed on Wednesday. Refinery crude runs fell by 346,000 barrels per day, and utilization rates slipped 0.6 percentage point to 85.9% of total capacity. Gasoline stocks fell by 1.4 million barrels in the week to 246.8 million barrels, the EIA said. Distillate stockpiles fell by 1.3 million barrels in the week to 119.2 million barrels.

Israeli Natural Gas Exports to Egypt, Jordan Up 13.4% in 2024 - Israel's natural gas exports to Egypt and Jordan surged by about 13.4% in 2024, despite the country's war with Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza, Israel's energy ministry said on Wednesday. The offshore Leviathan field produced 11.33 billion cubic meters, up 2.7% from 2023, while exports contributed 87.5% of total revenue of 1.022 billion shekels (US$282 million), the ministry said. Trump Says Japan, South Korea Want to Partner with U.S. on Alaska Pipeline - Japan, South Korea and other countries want to partner with the United States in a "gigantic" natural gas pipeline in Alaska, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday. Trump said in an address to the U.S. Congress that the pipeline would be one of the largest in the world. "Japan, South Korea and other nations want to be our partner, with investments of trillions of dollars each," he said. South Korea's industry ministry said Minister Ahn Duk-geun discussed the project with U.S. officials during a visit to Washington last week, but no details had been decided. (Reuters)
