The engineering, procurement and construction contract for both phases was awarded to Vetor Tecnologia. The first phase consists of 20 new tanks with storage capacities of between 900 and 5,600 cubic meters of liquid chemicals. Phase I is under construction and is expected to be completed in July 2015.
Construction on 25 new tanks is expected in Phase II. Vetor Tecnologia finished basic engineering and will begin detailed engineering in February 2015. Phase II is expected to begin upon the completion of the first phase, and it is expected to be completed in November 2016.
When both phases are completed, Cattalini will have a total storage capacity of 680,000 cubic meters. The total cost of this project is about $65 million.
