Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Enterprise Products Partners LP (NYSE:EPD) (Houston, Texas) has begun construction of a tenth natural gas liquids (NGL) fractionator at its facility in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Enterprise's new fractionator will have a capacity of 150,000 barrels per day (BBL/d), bringing Enterprise's total fractionation capacity at Mont Belvieu to 905,000 BBL/d. The unit is expected to begin service in the first quarter of 2020. The project has an estimated total investment value (TIV) of $500 million. Among the largest projects occurring at Mont Belvieu is Enterprise's addition of an iso-butane dehydrogenation unit, which will produce 425,000 metric tons per year of isobutylene from 30,000 BBL/d of iso-butane. Construction began in the first quarter of this year, with Optimized Process Designs LLC (Katy, Texas) providing EPC. The unit will use Honeywell UOP (Des Plaines, Illinois) technology.
