China plans to begin construction on 33.05 gigawatts (GW) worth of new solar-photovoltaic projects by the end of the year, according to China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
These projects are set to be approved and to begin construction by the end of 2020, and to be connected to the grid by the end of 2021, according to the NDRC. These projects are spread across 19 provinces; China's southern Guangdong province leads with 127 projects, with total installed capacity of 10.89 GW.
