U.S. Regulators Authorize Alaska LNG Project - The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) said Thursday it authorized construction and operation of Alaska Gasline Development Corporation's (AGDC) proposed $43.4 billion Alaska liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project. Brent rose 34 cents, or 1%, to settle at $36.09 per barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude closed up 43 cents, or 1.28%, to $33.92. (Reuters)
