U.S. Regulators Authorize Alaska LNG Project - The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) said Thursday it authorized construction and operation of Alaska Gasline Development Corporation's (AGDC) proposed $43.4 billion Alaska liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project. AGDC has already signed agreements with BP plc (NYSE:BP) and Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) to help advance the project's development. (Project 300114679) (Reuters)

Brent Rises to Highest Since March - Global benchmark Brent rose more than 1% on Thursday to its highest since March, supported by lower U.S. crude inventories, OPEC-led supply cuts and recovering demand as governments ease coronavirus restrictions on people's movements. Brent rose 34 cents, or 1%, to settle at $36.09 per barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude closed up 43 cents, or 1.28%, to $33.92. (Reuters)

Amazon Announces New Solar Projects Totaling 615 Megawatts - Amazon.com Incorporated (NASDAQ:AMZN) announced that it will construct five new utility-scale solar projects in the U.S., Australia and China, with a total generating capacity of 615 megawatts (MW). Two plants in Ohio will generate 80 MW and 200 MW, and a Virginia plant will generate 130 MW. (Business Wire)
