Anderson Packaging Incorporated (Rockford, Illinois), a dedicated contract packager to the Pharmaceutical and Health Care Industries for over 35-years, has begun construction on two expansions in Rockford, Illinois.
Anderson Packaging is spending $7.6 Million to build a new plant in Rockford, Illinois (PEC 09003260, Plant 1062326). Located on 1206 Capital Drive across the street from the headquarters location on Assembly Drive (Plant 1051823), the new 100,000 square foot building with an additional 50,000 square foot mezzanine will house $8 Million worth of equipment. Site preparations are currently underway for the new location and it is expected to be complete by March/April 2004. Bids are currently being taken for subcontractors with completion of the new plant being planned for early Fall 2004.
Anderson Packaging is currently 90% complete on a $2.5 Million expansion of their current Rockford, Illinois headquarters on Assembly Drive. (PEC 09003158). The expansion included the addition of a 60,000 square foot building to the existing 800,000 square foot manufacturing space and is expected to be complete by the end of December 2003.

Anderson Packaging Incorporated, founded in 1967, is a wholly owned Subsidiary of AmerisourceBergen Corporation, one of the fastest growing pharmaceutical contract packagers in the United States. Anderson currently has seven pharmaceutical and specialty packaging facilities and currently employs 1,300. The new expansion is expected to increase employment to 1,660 by the end of 2004 as well as increase sales. Anderson Packaging offers state-of-the-art form, fill, and seal packaging and capabilities include primary packaging in blisters, bottles, pouches and vials.
