Automotive Manufacturer Expands in Kentucky
Automotive belt manufacturer Bando USA (Itasca, Illinois) is expanding its manufacturing plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Automotive belt manufacturer Bando USA (Itasca, Illinois), a subsidiary of Bando Chemical Industries Limited (TYO:5195) (Kobe, Japan), is expanding its manufacturing plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Construction is currently under way on the $7 million, 10,000-square-foot building addition at the existing 103,000-square-foot building. A new manufacturing line will be added. Construction began in December, and completion is scheduled for the fall of this year. Approximately 15 new jobs will be created.
The Murphy Construction Group (Bowling Green) was selected to provide general construction services, and Hurt Mechanical Incorporated (Bowling Green) is providing mechanical services for the expansion.
Bando manufactures V belts, rubber belts, synchronous belts, timing belts, fan belts and power transmission belts. The company's annual revenues are estimated to be between $20 million and $50 million.
