Automotive Tier Supplier ABC Group Expands in Kentucky

ABC Group Incorporated (Toronto, Ontario) is currently underway with an expansion of an automotive systems and components manufacturing plant in London, Kentucky. In June of 2004, the company announced plans to open a 140,000 square foot manufacturing facility in the city of London, Laurel County, Kentucky. The company acquired an existing 74,000 square foot building at 145 Corporate Drive, which is currently renovating, and will construct a 73,000 square foot addition to the existing building. Over twenty new machines will be installed in the new plant, which will be used to manufacture plastic automotive components for interior, exterior, and fluid management systems.

Construction started in October of 2004 and is expected to be completed in the early summer of 2005. Approximately 165 jobs are expected to be created.

Denham & Blythe Company headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, was awarded the general construction contract for the expansion.
