South Carolina Electric & Gas Company’s (SCE&G) Wateree Power Station, located in Eastover, South Carolina, currently has both coal-fired units offline. Unit 01, which generates 386 megawatts, was taken offline over the weekend for repairs on a blown superheater tube. Unit 02, which produces 386 megawatts , already offline two weeks prior, is in a planned turbine overhaul and will continue to remain down until mid-November. Plant officials at the station have verified that Unit 01 is slated to return Tuesday night.
