Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The ERORA Group (Louisville, Kentucky) has chosen Burns & McDonnell (Kansas City, Missouri) and Kiewit Construction (Houston, Texas) to design and construct the proposed clean-coal Cash Creek Power Station (Henderson, Kentucky) in Henderson County.
Kiewit is providing engineering, procurement and construction services. Construction is scheduled for kickoff in fall 2009, with completion expected in 2014.
The facility will be owned and operated by Cash Creek Generating Company, a joint venture of ERORA and Kentucky Emerald Land Company (Louisville). The ERORA Group is an owner and developer of coal gasification projects. ERORA is privately-held by Green Rock Energy, LLC, GE Financial Services and management.
