The following is an advisory from Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources Inc; Houston Texas). Bush Brothers & Company (Knoxville, Tenn.) began construction this month of a $100 million baked bean plant expansion at their Dandridge, Tennessee plant. Lockwood Greene Engineers Incorporated (Spartanburg, S.C.) was awarded the contract to construct the 240,000 square foot building addition that will replace some older buildings at the Dandridge plant.
This expansion will increase plant capacity through the addition of new production equipment, canning and packaging equipment and increased warehouse and shipping areas. When completed in late 2003, employment at the site could reach 270 people.
Founded in 1908 by A. J. Bush, Bush Brothers is a privately held company with one production plant in Tennessee and two plants in Wisconsin. Bush Brothers had annual sales in the fiscal year 2001 of $240 million.
