Cargill On Target for Fall Completion of New Soy Protein Isolates Plant

One of the largest privately held companies in the United States, Cargill Incorporated (Minneapolis, Minnesota), is proceeding with construction activities on a new $28.5 million soy protein isolates facility at their existing soybean processing plant in Sidney, Ohio.

The plant has been under construction since the first quarter of this year and Cargill expects the project to be completed sometime this fall.

A wide variety of soy protein products will be produced at the site and all will contain Cargill's new soy protein isolate. The brand name for the product has not been announced but it can be used in beverages, bars, vegetarian meat products, and prepared foods.
