Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has granted approval to 11 power projects from China Guodian Corporation (Beijing), including three coal-fired power projects, seven wind power projects, and a hydropower project, since July 2010, China Guodian Corporation announced on August 5.

These 11 projects have a total planned capacity of 3,152.7 megawatts (MW), of which, the capacity of coal-fired power reached 2,800 MW, including the 600-MW Changchun No.1 Thermal Power Project, which received approval from the NDRC on July 9; and the 1,000-MW Hanchuan Power Plant Phase III Expansion Project and the 1,200-MW Inner Mongolia Bulian Power Plant Grassroot Project received approval from the NDRC on July 30. The capacity of seven newly approved wind power projects reached 346.5 MW, including five projects owned by Guodian Power Development Company Limited (SHA:600975) (Beijing), the listed flagship of China Guodian Corporation. Namely, the 49.5-MW Leizhou Dongli Windfarm in Guangdong Province received approval on July 5; the 49.5-MW Linghai Xibaqian Windfarm in Liaoning Province received approval on July 29; phases I to III of Qingtongxia Niushoushan Windfarm (each 49.5 MW) in Ningxia Region received approval on August 2; the 49.5-MW Yumen Yuxin Windfarm, invested by Longyuan Electric Power Group Company Limited (Beijing), the listed new energy flagship of China Guodian Corporation, in Gansu province received approval on July 28; and the 49.5-MW Jingbian Caoshanliang Windfarm of China Guodian Corporation Northwest China Company (Xi'an, Shaanxi) in Shaanxi province received approval on August 2. In addition, China Guodian's Xijiang Hydropowwer Project in Antu County of Northeast China's Jilin Province received approval on July 21.

So far, the accumulative capacity of projects in China Guodian Corporation that have received approval in 2010 has reached 8,210 MW, including 6,760 MW of coal-fired power, 139.6-MW of hydropower and 1,308.9-MW of wind power, said China Guodian Corporation in its announcement.
