China's Trade Values Reach Record Highs in November 2010

In November 2010, the import and export values of China reached a new record high of $283.76 billion, an increase of 36.2% year over year.


Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--In November 2010, the import and export values of China reached a new record high of $283.76 billion, an increase of 36.2% year over year, and an increase of 15.9% from October 2010. Export values reached $153.33 billion, an increase of 34.9% year over year. Import values reached $130.43 billion, up 37.7% year over year. The surplus of the month reached $22.89 billion, the General Customs Administration of China (GCAC) announced on December 10, 2010.

From January to November 2010, the cumulative import and export values of China reached $2.68 trillion, an increase of 36.3% year over year. Export values reached $1.42 trillion, an increase of 33% year over year. Import values reached $1.25 trillion, an increase of 40.3% year over year. The accumulative surplus in trade reached $170.42 billion, a drop of 3.9% year over year.

From January to November 2010, the import and export value of general trade jumped to $1.33 trillion, an increase of 40.9% year over year. Of this, the export value reached $648.37 billion, an increase of 37.3%, and the import value reached $686.2 billion, a increase of 44.5% year over year. The deficit under general trade reached $37.83 billion, which was 13.3 times the value of the same period in 2009. In the same period, the import and export values of processing trade jumped to $1.05 trillion, a jump of 29.5% year over year. Of which, the export value reached $670.29 billion, an increase of 28%; the import value reached $379.18 billion, a jump of 32.3% year over year; and the surplus under processing trade reached $291.11 billion, an increase of 22.8% year over year, which was 1.7 times more than the value of the same period in 2009.

The European Union remained the primary trade partner with China, and the bilateral trade value reached $433.88 billion, an increase of 33.1% year over year. The trade value with the United States reached $346.89 billion, an increase of 30.2% year over year. The bilateral trade value with Japan reached $267.79 billion, an increase of 24.9% year over year, and the bilateral trade value with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) reached $263.01 billion, an increase of 40.6% year over year. Imports from ASEAN reached $138.56 billion, a jump of 47.5% year over year, and the deficit in trade with ASEAN jumped to $14.11 billion, which was 17 times more than the same period of the previous year.
