Christmas Brings Construction of Hershey Chocolate Factory in Pennsylvania

Hershey's plans call for the construction of a 243,000 square foot building adjacent the company's West Chocolate manufacturing plant. The project will consolidate operations from a facility located at East Chocolate Avenue which is scheduled to close at the end of next year.

Site preparation is underway and the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2011. The facility will include new state-of-the-art equipment and employ the latest in technology and automation.
