Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Clark Pacific (West Sacramento, California) plans to construct an architectural precast concrete products manufacturing plant on a recently purchased 72 acre parcel of land in Woodland, California. The 72 acre site will be developed in phases. The first phase will include initial infrastructure, a concrete batch plant, and curing and handling equipment including gantry cranes.
Capital investment for the first phase is estimated at $4 million. Subsequent phases will be $1-2 million. Employment could reach above 250 people at the new plant.
Clark Pacific has employed a local civil engineering firm Laugnour & Meikle (Woodland, California) to perform the initial site engineering. At some point the company will look for an engineering firm to review and finalize engineering for the plant. Construction on the plant could start this summer if all goes according to plan, but a late 2003 construction start is more likely.
Clark Pacific currently employs over 400 people at two architectural precast manufacturing plants located in West Sacramento, and Fontana, California.
