Promising results for Pfizer and Moderna's COVID-19 vaccines have freight transportation and warehousing firms scrambling to construct building infrastructure and portable freezers to distribute the upcoming vaccines. Pfizer's vaccine candidate, with 90% efficacy, requires a storage temperature of -70 degrees Celsius (-94 F), and Moderna's candidate, with 94.5% efficacy, requires -20 degrees Celsius (-4 F).

United Parcel Service (UPS) is constructing a "freezer farm" in Louisville, Kentucky, for the vaccines. The facility will contain 600 freezers that can each hold 48,000 vials. See map below.
