TransCanada to Launch Flat Toll Open Season on Natural Gas Mainline - TransCanada Corporation (NYSE:TRP) said on Wednesday it plans to offer a flat toll on its Mainline system that takes natural gas from western Canada to southern Ontario, three months after shippers balked at the previous varied toll structure that they saw as too high. Chesapeake Shifts Focus to Oil - This Bloomberg article discusses how Chesapeake Energy (NYSE:CHK) (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) is shifting away from gas and focusing 60% of its 2017 budget on crude oil projects, mostly in South Texas, Oklahoma and Wyoming shale fields. (Bloomberg)
Reuters: Chinese Company to Buy Chevron's Bangladesh Gas Fields - China's state-run Zhenhua Oil has signed a preliminary deal with Chevron (NYSE:CVX) to buy the U.S. oil major's natural gas fields in Bangladesh that are worth about $2 billion, two Beijing-based Chinese oil told Reuters.
