Cheniere Loading First LNG Tanker from Sabine Pass - Cheniere Energy (NYSE:LNG) (Houston, Texas) is loading its first tanker of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from its Sabine Pass terminal in Louisiana. Sources tell Bloomberg that Brazil's state-run Petrobras (NYSE:PBR) (Rio de Janeiro) will be the recipient of this first shipment.

Ousted Cheniere CEO to Start New LNG Company - Ex-Cheniere Energy CEO Charif Souki announced on Tuesday that he will be starting a new company offering mid-scale natural gas liquefaction and export projects along the United States Gulf Coast. The company will be known as Tellurian Investments.

Crude Oil Slowdown Doesn't Slow North Dakota Transmission Buildout - In North Dakota there's a lot of concern about how falling crude oil prices have idled drilling rigs, pushed down production and cut into state and local tax coffers. But another type of industrial activity--constructing transmission lines--is in full swing. The collapse of oil prices has given utilities and project developers an opportunity to catch up to burgeoning electric demand in the oil fields.

U.S. Installed Solar Capacity is Expected to Double in 2016 - Global photovoltaic power projects have grown by about 60 gigawatts in 2015, 34% over 2014 numbers. U.S solar power installations in 2015 had stellar growth, with half of the states reaching 50 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. This year is predicted to have double the installed solar capacity of 2015 as a result of the extension of the federal investment tax credit (ITC), according to the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA).

American Midstream Partners Announces Open Season on Magnolia Extension - American Midstream Partners (NYSE:AMID) (Denver, Colorado) has announced a non-binding open season for a proposed link between its Magnolia Intrastate natural gas pipeline and Tennessee Natural Gas Pipeline's 500 Line in Alabama and Mississippi.

Holly Energy Reports Increased Revenues - Midstream petroleum company Holly Energy Partners (NYSE:HEP) (Dallas, Texas) announced net income of $40.5 million for 4Q15, compared to $28.7 million in 4Q14.
