Nebraska Approves Alternative Route for Keystone XL - The Nebraska Public Service Commission (PSC) approved TransCanada's (NYSE:TRP) Keystone XL crude oil pipeline being constructed in the state, helping clear one of the final hurdles for the pipeline. However, the PSC did not approve the company's preferred route, but an alternative one instead. (Project 34000908) (New York Times)

DOE Green Lights Northern Pass Canada-to-New England Power Transmission Project - Department of Energy (DOE) Presidential Permit in hand, Eversource Energy (NYSE:ES) (Hartford, Connecticut) is one step closer to having all its regulatory ducks in a row to begin construction on the $1.6 billion Northern Pass hydroelectricity transmission project, which will carry power from Canada to New England. Phillips 66 Keeps Eye on the Future With Continued Growth Projects Across All Areas - Phillips 66 (NYSE:PSX) (Houston, Texas) has a presence in virtually all segments of the oil and gas sector, including terminals, natural gas liquids (NGL) fractionation, pipelines and refining. The company had invested $1.3 billion in capital expenditures through the third quarter of this year and plans for capital spending of between $2 billion and $3 billion in 2018.
