DeBruce Grain Begins Construction on New Grain Handling at Port of Catoosa

Privately-held agriculture commodity handler, DeBruce Grain Incorporated (Kansas City, Missouri), has begun construction on a new grain handling facility at one of the largest, most inland river-ports in the United States, the Port of Catoosa in Oklahoma. Acting as its own general contractor, DeBruce is currently under way with floor installation and concrete slabs for buildings and a large 7,500-ton storage dome for fertilizer. Rail and barge loading and unloading systems will also be installed, along with a new office.
Construction is expected to take about seven months to complete and the facility is scheduled to begin handling product by June or July of 2005.
Founded in 1978 by Paul DeBruce, the Company currently consists of ten high speed grain handling facilities, three country elevators, a fertilizer distribution terminal, and seven retail fertilizer operations located in five states. DeBruce continues to modernize our facilities to improve efficiency, specifically to increase the speed and capacity of receiving, handling, and load out functions. In addition to domestic locations, DeBruce Grain de México established a trading office located in the city of Queretaro, northwest of Mexico City, to serve our international customers.
