Dial Corporation (NYSE: DL) (Scottsdale, Arizona) is discussing the possibility of adding a new liquid soap production line addition at its West Hazleton, Pennsylvania manufacturing plant (Plant 1062935). The project has an estimated total investment value (TIV) of $5 million, and Dial hopes to obtain approvals in early summer and begin construction on the new line by the end of the year. It is uncertain at this time whether an engineering and construction firm will be selected, or if Dial will handle the project in house. Dial Corporation has five manufacturing plants in the United States and employs over 2,300 people. With its headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, Dial Corporation has been in operation since the mid 1800's and is a $1.3 billion company.
The plants located in Pennsylvania, California, Illinois and Missouri manufacture and market bar soaps, laundry detergents, air fresheners and antibacterial soaps.
