Dial Corporation Discusses New Production Line Addition For Pennsylvania Plant Site

The project has an estimated total investment value (TIV) of $5 million and they hope to obtain approvals in early summer and begin construction on the new line by the end of the year.

Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Dial Corporation (NYSE: DL) (Scottsdale, Arizona) is discussing the possibility of adding a new liquid soap production line addition at its West Hazleton, Pennsylvania manufacturing plant (Plant 1062935). The project has an estimated total investment value (TIV) of $5 million, and Dial hopes to obtain approvals in early summer and begin construction on the new line by the end of the year. It is uncertain at this time whether an engineering and construction firm will be selected, or if Dial will handle the project in house. The new line will produce a variety of liquid soap products such as hand soap and laundry detergents and should be complete by mid 2005 (PEC 12003442).

Dial Corporation has five manufacturing plants in the United States and employs over 2,300 people. With its headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, Dial Corporation has been in operation since the mid 1800's and is a $1.3 billion company.

The plants located in Pennsylvania, California, Illinois and Missouri manufacture and market bar soaps, laundry detergents, air fresheners and antibacterial soaps. Dial® soap and Renuzit® air freshener are both trademarked products and rated as the number one antibacterial soap and air freshener in America. The Fort Madison, Iowa plant differs from the other manufacturing plants and is a producer of the number two canned meat product Armour Star®, which has been offered since 1868 and the number one producer of Vienna Sausage.
