Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). DTR Tennessee Incorporated (Midway, Tennessee) is looking to expand (PEC 25001680) its new six-month-old Tazewell, Tennessee anti-vibration parts manufacturing plant in the spring of 2004.
Located on 150 Hester Lane in Tazewell, Tennessee, the 86,000 square foot plant is expected to be expanded again by an additional 86,000 square feet. The new plant does not currently manufacture automotive hoses as the company's plant located in Midway, Tennessee does, but precision molded parts and automotive hoses will be added to the Tazewell production line later.
DTR Tennessee currently manufactures automotive anti-vibration rubber products such as strut mounts and radiator supports, which allow automobiles to run quieter. As part of the company's five-year plan, they expect to expand the new plant up to 340,000 square feet.
DTR Tennessee, Incorporated is a subsidiary of Tokai Rubber industries, Limited, located in Komaki Aichi, Japan. Tokai established DTR Tennessee, Incorporated (Midway location) in Green County, Tennessee in August 1996 as their second production base in the United States due to increasing production demands in North America. Actual operations started in April 1997.
