Expansion Begins on Largest Industrial Dairy Farm in Wisconsin

The expansion is the second phase of the facility's original plan and calls for the addition of a second free-stall barn, and a second milking parlor containing an 80-cow milking carousel.

Milk Source plans to complete the expansion in the third quarter of 2010. Once completed, the expansion will allow for 4,000 more dairy cows, for a total of 8,000.

Construction for the second phase is being served by a host of local and regional contractors, including Fox Structures (Kaukauna, Wisconsin) as the general contractor.

The Rosendale Dairy is situated on a 2,000-acre site and has the capacity to ship more than 35,000 gallons per day of milk.
