Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas). Huanan Dajiazishan Windfarm and Jiamusi Bei’antun Windfarm of Datang Heilongjiang Power Generation Company, Limited (Datang Heilongjiang) (Harbin, China) received approval from the Development and Reform Commission of Heilongjiang Province recently, which was announced by the website of China Datang Corporation (Beijing, China).

Both windfarms are located within the boundary of Huanan County, a county in Heilongjiang Province with rich wind resources. Both sites are conducive for construction of windfarms. The sites are not only rich in wind resources, but also with concentrated predominant wind direction in the windfarm. Average annual valid wind utilization hour is over 7,000 hours, and the equivalent full load utilization is over 2,200 hours. The construction scale of both windfarms will be 49.5 megawatts (MW) and each will be furnished with 33 wind power generating units of 1,500 kilowatts in single unit capacity.

Datang Heilongjiang Power Generation Company, Limited is a fully-owned subsidiary of China Datang Corporation (Beijing, China), one of the top five leading power producers in China. Datang Heilongjiang is responsible for the construction, operation and management of power assets for China Datang Corporation in Heilongjiang Province, which has a current installed operational capacity of 1,200 MW. Major power projects under construction include Datang Qitaihe Power Plant, Datang Jixi Thermal Power Plant, and Datang Shuangyashan Power Plant.

Receiving approval for these two windfarm projects marks that Datang Heilongjiang Power Generation Company, Limited has made a firm step toward its objective in strengthening “diversified” strategy, structural adjustment and on improving its sustainable development capability and comprehensive ability to make a profit. Construction of these windfarm projects will also increase active contribution on promoting the local economic development, ecological protection, as well as the gradual improvement of the energy structure in Heilongjiang Province.
