Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated). FormFactor Incorporated (Livermore, California), a semiconductor firm specializing in the design, development, manufacturer, sale and support of precision, high performance advanced semiconductor wafer probe cards, plans to expand by building a $25 Million plant (Plant 1062159) in Livermore, California. Due to increased demand, FormFactor has decided to expand its operations and relocate existing corporate headquarters, as well as research, development, and manufacturing operations.

Construction is expected to start before the end of the year on a new site located on 501 Lawrence Drive in Livermore, California with completion slated for fall 2004. The 119,000 square foot building will include corporate headquarters, research and development areas and manufacturing operations. Currently, the company has applied for foundation permits and is also filing for building permits.

DPR Construction Company (Redwood City, California) was awarded the Design-Build contract for the new plant.

FormFactor, founded in 1993 and traded on the Nasdaq National Market under the symbol FORM, first established its headquarters, research and development and manufacturing operations on 2140 Research Drive in Livermore, California in 1995. Based on revenues, FormFactor is currently the leading supplier of advanced wafer probe cards after first introducing their first water probe card based on the MicroSpring Interconnect Technology back in 1995. FormFactor currently has subsidiaries in Japan, Korea and Germany providing design support, service and sales, has sales offices in the United States, Germany, Japan and Korean and has a distributor and representatives throughout Asia and Europe.
