Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--During the first quarter of 2022, 484 megawatts (MW) of solar power capacity was connected to France's national grid, according to the French Ministry of Ecological Transition. France's installed capacity of solar power has now reached 14.6 gigawatts (GW).
France's new energy road map aims for an additional 11 GW in installed solar power capacity by 2025, or nearly double the current capacity. The government stressed that the new strategy, apart from providing a clear time frame for future procurements, also will reduce bureaucracy, in order to accelerate deployment and reduce costs.
