AgriTecSorbents, LLC, a joint venture of AgriTec Systems, Incorporated (TSX: AGR) (Webster, Texas) and Producers Rice Mill, Incorporated (PRM) (Stuttgart, Arkansas) began commercial production of its brand new plant located in Stuttgart, Arkansas (Plant 1060027) this week. Located near PRM's existing plant operations (Plant 1521145), construction for this more than $3 million plant originally began in February of last year.
PRM is providing approximately 12,000 tons per year of rice hull ash (RHA) from their neighboring plant and Agritec is providing their very own patented proprietary technology with the goal of ultimately producing 25,000 tons per year of liquid sodium silicate and 5,000 tons per year of activated carbon.
AgriTec Systems, through its operating companies AgriTec, Incorporated has been providing technology and processes for developing RHA into commercially viable products for several decades.
