Hershey Foods Corporation (NYSE:HSY) (Hershey, Pennsylvania) is expanding its chocolates and confections manufacturing plant in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. To make room for production of a new proprietary product line, Hershey is adding about 29,000 square feet of building space to the 30 year old plant, located in the Humboldt Industrial Park about 60 miles northeast of the company's corporate headquarters in Hershey.
This estimated $30 million expansion is expected to be completed and fully operational and producing the new product by August 2005.
