Motiva Enterprises on June 6, returned the 110,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Delayed Coker 2 (DCU-2) at its 600,000-BBL/d Port Arthur, Texas, refinery, to normal rates after shutting down one of three furnace stacks on June 3. Separately, the hydrogen unit restarted on June 6 after it shut down on May 17.
Phillips 66, today, June 7, will reduce production on the 37,000-BBL/d Crude 10 and 67,000-BBL/d Crude 28 units at its 145,000 BBL/d Borger, Texas refinery, by approximately 45% for two to three days during minor maintenance while the units remain online.
Pemex TRI completed planned repairs on four (and associated) units at its 243,000-BBL/d Salamanca, Mexico, refinery. The turnaround began in early April, and the units restarted on June 3.
International
ENEOS Corporation on June 5, restarted the 105,000-BBL/d Crude Oil Distillation Unit (CDU) 3, 34,000-BBL/d Naphtha Hydrotreating (HDT) Unit 4 and 36,000-BBL/d Vacuum Distillation Unit 1 within the 200,200-BBL/d Plant B (Area 2-B) at its 350,200-BBL/d Mizushima Refinery in Japan. The units had been under a maintenance shutdown since February 25. Separately, the 26,000-BBL/d Reformer 3, which was shut down February 23, is scheduled for restart on June 11.
Tehran Oil Refining Company (TORC) on June 4, restarted its 250,000-BBL/d Tehran Refinery in Iran. The refinery was forced to shut down on June 2 due to a fire in a tank farm. Thirteen major units were affected.
Idemitsu Kosan Company restarted the lone crude unit on June 6 at its 190,000-BBL/d Chiba, Japan, refinery. The unit had been under a maintenance shutdown since April 28. Meanwhile, the restart of the 17,000-BBL/d Reformer is scheduled for June 8, the 40,000-BBL/d Residual Hydrotreater on June 15 and the 45,000-BBL/d Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) Unit for June 21.
