Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a surge in demand for oxygen, nitrogen and other industrial gases in India, the majority of them by the medical sector. Currently, there are 154 industrial gas plants in India, of which 148 are operational and six are in the pre-commissioned stage.
