Industrial Info Relocates Corporate Headquarters to Sugar Land

Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) has relocated its corporate headquarters to a recently completed office building in Sugar Land’s Town Square - one of the nation’s premiere business locations, located 20 miles southwest of downtown Houston.

The move will help streamline Industrial Info’s client and business operations, increase efficiency and provide state-of-the-art technology, including communication tools and support for its online-based industrial intelligence and market tracking services. Industrial Info will occupy 20,860 square feet of space encompassing the entire third floor of a recently completed six-story 150,000 square-foot brick and glass, class-A office building in the heart of Sugar Land’s new $200 million open-air Town Square.

The City of Sugar Land’s aggressive economic development efforts have resulted in a business climate that has been rated as one of the best in the U.S., and the area has experienced a growth rate of more than 158% over the past ten years. Sugar Land was also rated in Money magazine as one of the top 50 U.S. cities to work and live.

Construction of the new $11 million office building commenced in January 2005 and was completed in December 2005. Harvey (Houston, Texas) was selected as the general contractor for the project and the architectural design and drawings were provided by Ambrose, McEnany & House Architects of Houston. A $9 million, 1,550 space parking garage was also included in the project for a total investment cost of $20 million.

The office is outfitted with a large greeting and reception area, multiple conference, training and meeting rooms with the latest technology in computer audio and visual equipment, employee lounge and a coffee bar, featuring custom designed birch and white oak cabinetry. The work spaces will be in an open environment cubical setting to maximize production efficiency and internal communication throughout all departments and industry groups within the company.

The new office is also within walking distance to the Marriott hotel and conference center and the surrounding area offers a variety of dining establishments and retail shopping stores, outdoor entertainment, as well as First Colony Mall.

Industrial Info will work closely in partnership with the City of Sugar Land to promote the city’s commercial and industrial business locations to its industrial based subscribers. The City of Sugar Land offers a favorable business climate with a highly educated workforce and over 3.2 million square foot of class-A office space in its Central Business District.

The City has invested over $90 million in economic development funds on projects and business incentives since 1993. Sugar Land’s Economic Development Department’s initiatives and programs over the past two years have created over 1,200 new jobs, retained over 500 jobs and attracted over $250 million in new capital investment.
