Market Commentary:
What?!? Is that a 7.9 million barrel increase to inventories? I thought analysts were expecting another draw. Well, at least we witnessed a draw in gasoline stocks, as well as an increase in gasoline production at U.S. refineries, as gasoline demand returneth; though somewhat concerning as distillate stocks continue to grow.

*IIR Fundamental Analytics Graphics That being said, it does appear the hydrocarbon markets are finding their footing once again. WTI is even approaching $35. However, there remain uncertainties in regards to the OPEC+ cuts being extended -- meetings to discuss such are coming up in early June, as well as growing U.S.-China tensions. Not to mention, are the COVID times truly in our rear view mirror?

So interesting times indeed here in North America as one tries to get a good handle on the overall supply and demand picture and its impact on the energy industry. Therefore, within this North America Refining Report, Industrial Info hopes to shed some light on what is transpiring from a refinery operations perspective all the way down to the refinery level in Canada. The report incorporates a North America Refinery Map as well as an Area Chart to illustrate collectively when we can expect refinery capacity to return over the next month or so. For the U.S., IIR is providing a chart to indicate when we might expect the PADDs themselves to become healthier.
