Invenergy Wind LLC, an affiliate of Invenergy LLC (Chicago, Illinois), started selling power to the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) (Knoxville, Tennessee) from the 27-megawatt (MW) Buffalo Mountain Windfarm, which is located near Brice, Anderson County, Tennessee. The windfarm utilizes fifteen Vestas 1.8 MW model V-80 wind turbine/generator sets.

The windfarm was constructed and commissioned in six months from June through December 2004. According to Invenergy sources the windfarm will need two people for the day-to-day operations. Invenergy has over twenty-five wind projects throughout the United States and Canada in development for 2,500 MW.
