According to South Korea's MBN, Korea East-West Power has succeeded in developing the commercialization technology of "road block type solar power," which generates solar power using panels at sidewalks and pedestrian road crossings.
The power generation output is 19 watts per block, and the power generation efficiency is more than 16%. The strength is more than 10 times (32 megapascals) of the existing concrete sidewalk block strength (3 megapascals), which is a level that can withstand 25-ton vehicles.
