Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--In January, Industrial Info presented its annual Industrial Market Outlook for North America, setting the expectations for industrial plant spending in 2021. As a follow-up, IIR is pleased to announce its mid-year review, online and free for all attendees, beginning on Tuesday, July 20 and lasting through Thursday, July 22, starting at 10 a.m. CDT (11 a.m. EDT) each day and lasting for approximately one hour.
In 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic took hold, many industrial projects were put on hold or delayed, causing a large wave of potential spending in 2021 and 2022. The combination of COVID-19 vaccine rollouts, stimulus support packages and increased commodity demand have made this potential pipeline firmer. In addition, a massive energy transition is occurring, leading to a wave of new projects and disruptive technologies, such as Power-to-X.
Industrial Info is tracking nearly $1.2 trillion in projects in the U.S. with a planned kickoff date in 2021 and 2022, led by the Power Industry, with more than $335 billion in potential projects.
