REFINING HIGHLIGHTS
Marathon is operating its 530,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Garyville, Louisiana, refinery at a 20% rate reduction due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Marathon continues to evaluate production rates as demand increases across the state.

Ruhr Oel GmbH (BP Gelsenkirchen) has restarted the 70,000-BBL/d A8 Crude Topping Unit and the 40,000-BBL/d V3 Vacuum Unit at its 140,000-BBL/d Gelsenkirchen Scholven Refinery in Germany. The units had been shut down on March 18 due to low demand as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

HPCL-Mittal Energy Ltd (HMEL) has operated its 242,000-BBL/d Bathinda Guru Gobind Singh Refinery in India at 58% since May 10 due to low demand. Previously, the refinery was operating at 70%. The refinery is tentatively expected to resume full throughput by May 31.
