New Belgium Colorado Brewery Expansion Underway

Privately held New Belgium Brewing Company, Incorporated (Fort Collins, Colorado) is moving forward with a $15 million expansion project at an existing brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado. The project will consist of adding a 76,000 square-foot building addition and installing new packaging line equipment.

New Belgium Brewing Company awarded Swinerton Builders (Arvada, Colorado) a Design-Build contract and is currently acting as General Contractor. Murphy Company Mechanical Contractors & Engineers (Denver, Colorado) is taking care of the process piping.

Construction started in June 2006 and the shell of the building will be complete this month. The new packaging line and auxiliary equipment will be installed shortly thereafter. The entire project is expected to be finished by April 2007.
