Known as the TS Power Project, Newmont Mining is utilizing Fluor Enterprises, Incorporated, a subsidiary of Fluor Corporation (NYSE:FLR) (Irving, Texas), as the engineering and construction contractor. Fluor is 50% complete with construction as of March 2007. Commercial start-up for the plant is scheduled for June 2008.

About 920,000 tons per year of coal will be delivered to the plant via rail from the Powder River Basin in Wyoming.
