Power Output of China's Northwestern Grid Increases 16.47% in June

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--In June, the total power output of China's northwestern power grid reached 17.07 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh), an increase of 16.47% compared with the same period last year. Thermal power output reached 12.64 billion kWh, up 19.01%, and hydropower output reached 4.44 billion kWh, up 9.8%, according to a monthly report by the Northwest China Grid Company Limited (Xi'an, China).

The grid's maximum load reached 25.96 million kilowatts (kW), an increase of 12.28% year over year, and the monthly average load rate reached 91.01%.

Maximum daily power consumption reached 576.44 million kWh, an increase of 14.36% year over year, and average daily power consumption reached 559.03 million kWh, an increase of 16.65% year over year. The power consumption in Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai and Ningxia increased 17.13%, 16.17%, 20.9% and 14.28%, respectively.

The total power transmission from the grid to the central grid reached 265 million kWh, and the total interprovince power transmission in the northwestern grid reached 504 million kWh. In July, the scheduled power transmission to the central grid is expected to be 269 million kWh; the total interprovince power transmission in the northwestern grid will be 120 million kWh; and the power output of plants under direct dispatching is expected to be 6.19 billion kWh.
