Preferred Freezer Services Expanding into Northern Illinois

Privately held, Preferred Freezer Services Incorporated (Jersey City, New Jersey) is expanding their market coverage area to Northern Illinois through the addition of the company's seventh cold storage facility.
Leading food company builder United Insulated Structures Corporation (Berkeley, Illinois) has been selected as the prime contractor and is currently pouring concrete at the site located on South Damen Avenue in Chicago and steel should begin arriving on site sometime in early July.
The $16 million project calls for construction of a 140,000 square foot building with all freezer storage area. A loading and unloading dock along with office area will be constructed as well.

The project is expected to take six months to complete and Preferred expects to begin utilizing the facility by November of this year.
Preferred Freezer Services was founded in 1989 in Perth Amboy New Jersey, at that time only operated one facility with 26 full time employees and had gross revenues of $3.6 million. Today Preferred has nine company owned facilities throughout the U.S.A. with 4 more presently under construction. Sales are approaching $100 million dollars and, we have over 400 employees, and have three new facilities under construction.
