Royal Vopak's Rotterdam Gate LNG Receiving and Regasification Terminal was operating at nearly full sendout capacity of 1.16 billion standard cubic feet per day throughout April 2019, a result of curbed gas production at the massive Groningen Field.
The reduced production at Groningen is a result of earthquakes that are believed to have been caused by production activity, as well as relatively high injection rates at Dutch gas-storage sites. See map below.
