U.S.-based oil and gas company Noble Energy is moving ahead with its Alen Gas Monetization Project. Italy's Saipem grabbed the contract for a 70-kilometer offshore natural gas pipeline, running from the Alen Field to Punta Europa, near Equatorial Guinea's capital city of Malabo.
The pipeline is expected to supply natural gas to power-generation, methanol and liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants, by way of the Punta Europa Gas Processing Plant. First gas is expected to be delivered during the first quarter of 2021.
