In March 2005, Silicon Valley Power (SVP) started full operation at its 147-megawatt (MW) Donald Von Raesfeld Power Station in Santa Clara, California. This power station is a combined-cycle power plant consisting of two 45 MW General Electric LM6000PC SPRINT combustion turbines and one 57 MW Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Steam Turbine.
This project will provide power to SVP's customers and help SVP meet expected load growth. SVP's total investment in this plant was $165 million.
