South Asia's pesticide and agrochemicals sector is expected to see 55 projects, valued at more than $830 million, begin construction over the next year, according to Industrial Info's project database.
To meet steadily growing demand from this sector, major chemical companies such as UPL Limited and Tagros Chemicals India Limited have lined up expansions at their existing manufacturing units.
In addition, these companies each are building two grassroot pesticides plants within the coming year. About $540 million are planned over 20 grassroot projects, which would begin construction within the next year.
